Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Kaamvaala mobile applications or website (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. About Kaamvaala
Kaamvaala is a marketplace platform that connects users ("Customers") with independent service professionals ("Partners") for home services including, but not limited to, care taking, driving, cooking, housekeeping, electrical work, laundry, toilet cleaning, and parcel delivery. Kaamvaala is a technology platform and is not itself a service provider.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service.
- By using the Service, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
3. User Accounts
- You register using your mobile phone number and an OTP. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account.
- You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration.
- You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
4. Booking and Service
- When you place a booking, a request is broadcast to nearby available Partners. Acceptance is at the Partner's discretion.
- Kaamvaala does not guarantee the availability of any particular Partner or service at any given time.
- You agree to be present or arrange access to your premises at the scheduled time.
- A 4-digit PIN is generated for each booking. You must share this PIN with the Partner at the start of the service to verify their identity and confirm arrival.
5. Payments
- Prices for services are displayed before checkout and are inclusive of all applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
- Payments are processed securely through Razorpay. Kaamvaala does not store your payment credentials.
- Cash on Delivery (COD) is available for applicable services. Payment must be made to the Partner at the time of service completion.
- Refunds for online payments are processed within 5–7 business days in case of a cancellation before service commencement.
6. Cancellation Policy
- You may cancel a booking before a Partner is confirmed at no charge.
- Cancellations after a Partner has been confirmed and is en route may incur a cancellation fee.
- Repeated cancellations may result in temporary suspension of your account.
7. Partner Terms
- Partners are independent professionals and not employees of Kaamvaala.
- Partners must complete identity verification and agree to Kaamvaala's Partner Code of Conduct before being approved.
- Partners are responsible for the quality of services they provide.
- Kaamvaala reserves the right to suspend or remove Partners who receive consistently poor ratings or violate these Terms.
8. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
- Harass, abuse, or harm any Partner or other user.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer or interfere with the Service.
- Provide false or misleading information during registration or booking.
- Use the Service to solicit Partners to work outside of the Kaamvaala platform.
9. Ratings and Reviews
After each completed service, you may rate your Partner (1–5 stars) and leave an optional comment. Ratings are used to maintain service quality. We reserve the right to remove reviews that are abusive, false, or otherwise inappropriate.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Kaamvaala shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service, including damages for loss of profits, loss of data, or personal injury. Kaamvaala's total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
11. Disclaimer
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind. Kaamvaala does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
